MetroTech Business Improvement District

Founded in 1992 as a non-profit business improvement district, our mission is to further the revitalization of Downtown Brooklyn through a variety of services and programs. Initiatives include a robust public safety program, sanitation services, and marketing and promotional services throughout a 25-square block district to businesses, universities, residences and government agencies.

The MetroTech BID is managed by the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, a not-for-profit development corporation that seeks to improve and develop the greater Downtown Brooklyn community. Two other major Downtown Brooklyn BIDs, Court-Livingston-Schermerhorn BID and Fulton Mall Improvement Association, are also members of the Partnership. Combined, these BIDs provide the Downtown Brooklyn community with nearly $6 million in supplementary services.
