Street Trees:
Sixty-seven new street trees will be planted, including Honeylocust, Coffee Tree, Oak, Scholar Tree and Zelkova.  As part of the renovation, existing dead, unhealthy and unsafe trees will be removed from the street and replaced.

Furnishings:
New benches and bicycle racks will be installed along the length of Fulton Street. The new 17,000sf open space at Albee Square will receive new benches and plantings, creating a larger public gathering space. Historical signage and Downtown Brooklyn signage will provide historical information and better wayfinding.  New Department of Transportation Cemusa bus shelters will serve transit riders and improve bus stop signage.

Lighting:
47 new street and pedestrian light poles will be provided along Fulton Street, DeKalb Avenue and within Albee Square, improving lighting conditions for both motorists and pedestrians.

Infrastructure Improvements:
Infrastructure throughout Fulton Mall will be brought up to date including upgrades to traffic signals, traffic signage and replacement of emergency call boxes.  New sidewalks and a new roadway will improve pedestrian and bus safety.
