YOUR ART HERE
YOUR ART HERE is a new program created by the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership to activate temporarily vacant properties in the Downtown area by making space available to artists and organizations for visual and performing arts projects. Our goal is to create opportunities for new, creative activity in underutilized ground floor spaces that will enliven empty storefronts, provide a new public outlet for the arts community and offer new opportunities for Downtown Brooklyn’s residents and visitors to experience and contribute to the area’s incredible energy and diversity. YOUR ART HERE will emphasize programming that is publicly accessible and will prioritize uses that include open exhibition hours, educational programming, public performances and/or open studio/rehearsal time. These activities will maximize visibility for the property and will generate increased economic activity in the neighborhood by bringing more people to work in and visit the area.
