June 14 - Noon: The Harlem Blues & Jazz Band - The Harlem Blues & Jazz Band is the world's most authentic swing band. It stars veteran jazz and blues musicians whose roots reach to the classic period of the '20s and '30s. Together since 1973, these "originals" actually "jumped" at the Woodside and "stomped" at the Savoy with Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, and other jazz greats! Our opening act will be the UAMA Groove Ensemble, featuring students from Downtown Brooklyn's Urban Assembly School for Music and Art (more info below).

June 21 - Noon: Tulivu-Donna Cumberbatch & The Magnificent Trio - Ms. Cumberbatch is a native of Brooklyn. Her father, the great baritone saxophone player, Harold Cumberbatch, named her Donna Lynn after Miles Davis' composition "Donna Lee", made popular by Charlie Parker. The stage was set for her musical voyage. Her smooth, sultry, soulful sound has captivated thousands. She has been compared to Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McCrae, and Gloria Lynne, but clearly exhibits her own unique and enchanting style. With Donald Smith on piano, Rachiim Ausar-Sahu on bass and Mark Johnson on drums. Opening for Ms. Cumberbatch will be the UAMA Groove Ensemble, featuring students from Downtown Brooklyn's Urban Assembly School for Music and Art (more info below).

June 14 & 21 - Noon: The UAMA Groove Ensemble - In the Urban Assembly School of Music and Art Groove Ensemble, students aged 14-18 use instruments and computers to play, write, improvise, compose, record, mix, master, and disseminate innovative music. The Ensemble has performed at the Center for Improvisational Music in Brooklyn, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and BRIC Studios, and has recorded several CDs.

June 28 - Noon: Miss Fairchild - Miss Fairchild is more than just a band. True, they play dynamic modern pop music that also serves as a music appreciation course for lovers of soul and funk music. True, they blend a timeless sense of songwriting with an undeniable sense of now, displaying a remarkable musical palette influenced by such artists as Sly & The Family Stone and Tony Toni Toné. True, their live incarnation, The Miss Fairchild Show, has drawn comparisons to the legendary JB's for its energy and remarkable transitions. But more than all of that, Miss Fairchild exists to bring joy to an oftentimes-joyless world.
